2020: The year of craziness

So I think it is fair to say that 2020 has not been very good. I think almost everyone wishes that we could go back a few years and then skip 2020 and this entire covid craziness.

So October is here, and October is a gloomy month as it is but with all that has already happened well, this October has been well, extra gloomy. I think it is fair to say that everyone has probably thought that they have gotten covid at least once and I am one of those people, luckily I haven’t gotten it but i do know friends who have and Thank God no one I know has died from it.

So my blabbing and all you are wondering what I am gonna talk about, so first I am gonna tell you about my 2020 so far then what ever else I feel like talking about.

Ok so lets start with January

January was good, looking through the snaps that I posted on my snapchat @sr_11033. I went to my normal places pre-covid. Starbucks (aka my love), Barns and Noble (my second love), Church (Love my church fam) and a few other places I cant remember. We had our friend over and played Jenga and a few other games. The one things that made January not so good was the death of Koby Bryant and his lovely daughter.

February

February was also good! It was pretty much the same as January, church, coffee, books, etc oh and school. (eyeroll)

March

March was a bumpy road, Quarantine started in March and it also was the last time I went into a store in 7 months (yeah a long time I know)

April-September

NOTHING DIFFERENT. I stayed home the whole time! I only went to the bank a few times.

October

Well, This month I went into a store and went to the bank again, and went with my mom to vote (dont ask me who she voted for because I aint telling)

November

Yes, I actually know some of what I am doing next month. Why? Because November 21 is my birthday and I already know that I am going to Best Buy and get a new phone

December

I have no clue!

Before you go, check out my friends sick remix of Don’t Let Me Down

So I guess that’s it!

Easy and Healthy Pasta

Hey guys! Its me again!

Now I am actually eating this pasta while writing about it!

So first cook up some angel hair pasta! Then when its done add some lemon juice, we wanna be able to taste lemon, add a can of spinach or fresh if you prefer but I add canned cuz its just easier. Then for seasonings add lemon pepper, cayenne, pepper.

Thats it! Told you it was easy.

See ya in my next post!

Fast Food and “It’s Fine”

Hello! Guest author and fast food employee Chris here to discuss my worst nightmare! Customers responding with “It’s Fine” when you offer them two choices.

Picture this. You’re a fast food employee serving a customer. The customer asks for extra cheese. You inform them that it’ll cost extra.

And they reply with “It’s fine.”

Naturally, your first response is, “Okay, he doesn’t mind paying extra.” That is, until he gets upset with you and says he doesn’t want to pay extra.

Next time, the same scenario, and you think, “Okay, I remember last time, I’ll just avoid making them mad by adding more cheese.” And then you start to move on, and they get upset with you for trying to cheat them out of cheese.

The obvious solution is to ignore the customer’s question, but since that might lead to a slight case of “Being Fired”, probably don’t do that.

The point of this not-as-hilarious rant has the sole purpose of me trying to spread awareness regarding ambiguous statements. It makes fast food employees’ jobs harder, and I’m sure it impacts other careers. If you’re held hostage or going undercover, yeah, sure, it might be beneficial to be ambiguous…but last I checked, ordering food isn’t going undercover.

Unless it turns out ordering McDonalds is a common custom among gang members…! Let the conspiracies begin!

What does it mean to be Christian in 2020

doulosoftheos's avatarServants of God

What does it mean to be in Christian in 2020? Thats a question I have been trying to figure out myself, especially as a christian teenager. Like how do we go about our daily lives as Christians. Well, first we have to be super strong with the Lord. It’s one thing to say your a Christian but it’s another thing to really walk it out. You may be asking what does it mean to “really walk it out”. Well let me tell you. You have to walk with the Lord everyday. You have to walk up and open the “66 book love letter that you (God) wrote and soak it up” (Lecrae). You have to read the bible like it is the only book in the world. You have to pray not just for bad things but for all things. When people see you they should see Jesus through you…

“Zoomers” and their habitats

At this point, almost everyone has attended a zoom meeting. Whether for school or work, you’ve most likely also had an awkward or weird zoom experience. In my zoom experience, these are some of the “zoomers” I’ve encountered during “zooming”:

Loud House- Whether being outshouted by loud siblings or intergalactic shrieks, Rest in peace, headphone users.

The Late Show- There is always someone late. Whether partly through the class or 3 minutes before the end, they’ll let you know they’re there.

The “buffeter”- Whether they are delivered food over the camera or come back with enough food for a bodybuilder, people can’t help but stare and try to figure out if that’s a jelly-filled or classic donut…

The Unmuter- There is always this person. Even though they have their camera off, you can hear them. That teacher is going to hear their views on that math lecture.

The fighter- This is the infamous sibling fight. These are the worst, usually ending in some physicality. (The most action is when the microphone is on. Just saying.)

The Camera Till Death- This person has to have their camera running. No matter what.

Zoom “backgrounder”- They are the master of zoom backgrounds, whether sitting in massively huge grass or floating somewhere in space, you can’t take them seriously.

The Pushy Host- Whether pushing for you to unmute or turn your camera on, they’re going to get you involved one way or another.

I am sure I have not got all the examples of awkward zoom calls. But the real question is, are you any of these?
